mydentist, Old Market, Bristol

mydentist 36, Old Market News, Old Market St, England, Bristol BS2 0EZ, UK – 0117 929 2208

I have complete confidence that they have my best interests at heart. Thanks for making me feel excited about having had a filling!

I have been for a couple of time to fix problems with my teeth and the last one problem was really big with a very big pain for two days ,but the dentist which a had -a blond lady- Helga, was so professional and fixed the problem so quick and immediately i was on my daily tasks!Thank you very much!

Your Dentist Bristol

1 Telephone Ave, Bristol BS1 4AZ, UK – 0117 954 4666

Dr Saljughi demonstrated great skill and innovation in my dental work. He was patient and understanding as I am quite a nervous about having certain dental procedures carried out. He worked to ensure that I got the outcome I was looking for. I always found all of the staff helpful kind and very friendly. I am more that pleased with the work I had had done at the clinic. Dr Saljughi restored my confidence in my smile and in doing so has made such a great difference in my life.

I've been coming here for at least 8 years and I've always had a good experience. The staff have always been friendly and both Dr Saljughi and either Hygienist that I have seen are always knowledgeable and honest. Highly recommended.

Queen Square Dental Clinic

17 Queen Square, Bristol BS1 4NH, UK – 0117 927 2797

I've had a lot of dental work - it only takes one ski in a mouth! Over 40+ years there have been two outstanding dentists - one in La Jolla, California (a lady who's now retired) and the other is Alfonso. 100% recommended. Quick update (April '18): I'd also add Emily the (new to me) dental hygienist - exceptionally skilled. There are many things in life where second best is good enough... not dentistry - pay for excellence every time! The team here are truly exceptional.

I was made to feel so welcome it was as if I'd known these beautiful people for years. Their kind, warm and very calm welcome seems to rub off on you making you feel at ease and not at all nervous . Probably the best dental clinic in the country. I would highly recommend it to anyone A Carruthers

Nuffield Health Bristol, The Chesterfield Hospital

3 Clifton Hill, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1BN, UK – 0117 906 4870

Had knee op. Utterly brilliant facility. If I was going to design a hospital it would be like this ! Everthing I need is planned for and provided. Feel confident about rest of stay here. Staff helpful and cheerful , nothing too much trouble. Professional and attentive.

Went for a few teeth fillings yesterday. Happy so far with the work done. The staff and the dentist were friendly and helpful. They helped me get my X-rays as well from another dentist I went to earlier. Only downside is it's a bit expensive. But will recommend to others.

Litfield House Medical Centre

1 Litfield Place, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3LS, UK – 0117 973 1323

I visited the medical centre this week and was very impressed by Dr. Henry's friendly and professional nature. He took his time to observe my 3 year old son and responded to all my concerns regarding his illness. even after I left the clinic, I was able to contact him for further assistance. Not that I would wish anyone to be ill but if need be i would surely go back as their service and care is amazing.

Litfield House is a beautiful period building set in the heart of Clifton Village. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I am so pleased we decided to base our GP practice here. I would thoroughly recommend it to other healthcare professionals who are looking to consult in Bristol.

St Michael's Hospital

Southwell St, Bristol BS2 8EG, UK – 0117 342 5325

Gave birth here twice. Two very different but complicated births. First time wasn't such a positive experience but the second time there seemed to be alot more support even though it was busier. I was a little disappointed about the lack of information about what happens next once I was on the ward. It all seemed very rushed.

Very impressed with maternity services thare. Staff is friendly and efficient!

Dr Szweda is clearly a very experienced doctor, who was very professional, empathetic and truly demonstrated a care for my needs and that of the organisation. I can wholeheartedly recommend Bupa Occupational Health services on the back of this session with Dr Szweda. Thank you for a pleasent experience Dr Szweda.

The Medical, Temple Quay

3, Temple Quay, Temple Way Underpass, Bristol BS1 6DG, UK – 0117 244 4540

I went for a massage. The masseuse was friendly but rather abrupt and didn't have. good people skills. It wasn't a friendly theraputic atmosphere. I felt quite rushed at the end to get ready. Also I asked her to concentrate on three areas but she only did two. However quality of the massage was good. The receptionist was rude and abrupt. I don't think I'd use again. Rather go somewhere where i don't feel like I'm on a conveyor belt.

I was having physio which went fairly well, though my insurance company kept calling me as they weren't being sent required updates from The Medical. Towards the end of my treatment I was told I could email them for advice but I never got a single reply so eventually I just gave up.

The Medical, Bristol City Centre

1 Christmas Steps, Bristol BS1 5BS, UK – 0117 244 4541

Went to see Sean after suffering some pretty horrible back, shoulder and chest pain for 3/4 weeks. After 15 minute chat with me to determine where my pains were he spent 45 minutes working them away. It's been 4 days and I feel brand new, highly recommend and will return if I ever require deep tissue massage again. No hard sell or pressure to return, wanted to get it done in one go.

Outstanding, the person I see is Sean. Not only did he solve my problems with muscle tightness, but he also showed me ways to prevent recurrence.

Travel Clinics

Nomad Travel Clinic & Travel Store

38 Park St, Bristol BS1 5JG, UK – 01341 555061

My daughter Kate has been several times to Nomad on Park street for rabies, Hep B vacs etc. The staff have been unfailingly professional , helpful and understanding. I went in there today because we had mislaid some paperwork. No problem - they just got it copied and sorted. Many thanks Nomad. Going abroad - take their advice.

The staff is absolutely amazing! Super friendly and well informed! If you go Nomad you can’t go wrong! Thank you guys!

Trailfinders Bristol

48 Corn St, Bristol BS1 1HQ, UK – 0117 929 9000

We booked our first ever "big holiday" through this branch, initially dealing with Simon to get an idea of cost, and then with Steph Salter once we decided to book it. She took time to understand what we wanted, and took time to explain everything to us. Unfortunately during the time from booking to leaving, both our hotels pulled out and our initial flight was cancelled. Steph helped us pick different hotels, and even saved us £200 the second time round, using a new offer to get us a hotel in a better location than before. When we found out about the flights, we were rung and informed, but were also given two options straight away, both of which were an "upgrade" from our original flight for no extra cost. At no time did we feel any kind of worry, and everyone we dealt with was helpful, understanding, and patient with us. After our experience, my parents are using this Trailfinders branch to book a big trip for their 25th wedding anniversary.

Brilliant. Very friendly, professional and did an amazing job of helping us plan our trip. Was kept updated at all times and provided fantastic service. Booking another trip with them again soon and have also recommend them to other friends and family.

Broadmead Medical Centre

59 Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3EA, UK – 0117 954 9828

Bristol Acupuncture Practice

The Centre for Whole Health, 12 Victoria Pl, Bristol BS3 3BP, UK – 0117 924 5842

I visited Deb for acupuncture in relation to stress and helping with fertility. I have never had acupuncture before and am not fond of needles however Deb was great and put me at ease from the first session. I saw a real improvement in my anxiety levels over the course of 4 sessions and really enjoyed the experience. I've now moved cities so couldn't continue visiting but would thoroughly recommend if anyone is considering acupuncture.

I had several sessions of acupuncture with Al following an operation. This helped me recover from the temporary physical paralysis and the mental stress at the time. Now I am fully recovered and very grateful to have discovered acupuncture in this way!

Eleanor Breen Acupuncture

South Bristol Osteopaths, 57 Queen Charlotte Street, Bristol BS1 4HQ, UK – 07834 160906

I decided to visit Ellie recently as I have been suffering with chronic back pain since the birth of my first baby in March. I was a little nervous having never had acupuncture before but Ellie put me at easy straight away with her friendliness and professionalism. Although having the treatment I experienced a light tingling sensation it was never painful and I always felt completely relaxed. After the treatment my back pain had defiantly improved. Ellie explained that I would probably need around 5-6 treatments in total for it be completely healed. I am currently half way through the course and feeling so much better. I would defiantly recommend seeing Ellie for back pain, I was amazed with the results.

Wonderful treatment which left me feeling totally relaxed and pain free

Traditional Acupuncture Bristol

25 Victoria St, Bristol BS1 6AA, UK – 0117 287 2014

Ben Tolson is a first rate Acupuncturist. I have seen many therapists over the years, and I rate his proficient, empathetic and relaxed manner highly. Also, the chiropractic clinic he works from is clean, has a calm yet professional atmosphere, and has easy parking! I went to Ben with a digestive problem and a feeling of malaise. He took a very thorough case history and his examination was succinct and to the point. He recommended a course of treatment which I have had, along with life style suggestions and dietary guidelines. My energy levels are coming back to normal and my gut is on the mend. Well done Ben.

Willow Chiropractic - Bedminster

5, St Peter's Court, Bedminster Parade, Bristol BS3 4AQ, UK – 0117 325 7075

This is a fantastic therapy and treatment location. I have been treated here for a shoulder injury, which has resulted in the effective diagnosis and treatment of both cause and symptoms. I am now fully and confidently back to physical exercise and heavy manual work as a direct result of my treatment here. I have been specifically treated by Sarah on most occasions but have found everyone involved at the company to be excellent, including admin and front of house staff, who are polite and positive especially with flexibility and helpfulness around scheduling. Would recommend and will travel to be treated here even when I am based elsewhere if necessary.

Absolutely brilliant practice this. Very professional. I play sport everyday and I couldn’t live without Sarah’s treatment. She can always find the issue so quickly and I feel great after just one treatment

Willow Chiropractic - Clifton

Unit 8B Clifton Down Shopping Centre, Bristol BS8 2NN, UK – 0117 369 3639

My husband and 2 children have been patients at Willow for almost 2 years now. When Dr Tom left we were passed over to Mike, and we are all very, very happy with the treatments we are receiving. He made us feel very welcome and we were immediately at ease with him. He is very professional, listens to your needs and will treat you at length to ensure you are feeling much better when you leave, than when you went in! My daughter, Phoebe Jakubczyk, is an elite gymnast and competes for Great Britain. Training 35 hours per week puts a great toll on her body. She has regular adjustments to ensure she is at her strongest and, more importantly, that her body is balanced and in line. Mike is absolutely brilliant with her. We see chiropractic as a way of life, not just when you have an issue with your body. Thank you Mike!

I saw Dr Gallagher for a long standing neck problem. He was fantastic. A lot more gentle than my previous Chiro, but I felt great after the first treatment. Highly recommended!

The Courtyard Osteopaths

12 Victoria Pl, Bristol BS3 3BP, UK – 0117 923 1138

Myself and my daughter have been treated by all three osteopaths for different problems. My daughter is 2 years old and has had difficulty sleeping since birth. I have seen some amazing changes in her since being treated and we are finally getting some solid chunks of sleep at night. I also have experienced problems since the birth of my daughter which I've also seen significant improvements with. I feel very looked after as soon as I walk into the room and think the expertise between them is incredible. I rave about them to anyone I know with a toddler who has sleeping problems and I will continue to use them myself for any problems I face in the future. An amazing team who I couldn't recommend more highly!

Jeni has transformed my experience as a first time mum. I came to her feeling disappointed and upset that I had been forced to stop breastfeeding my daughter because of the pain and damage it was causing me. She explained that the issues we had encountered were the result of a difficult birth, and within 4 sessions I was once again able to breastfeed exclusively. The treatment itself is incredibly gentle and my daughter really seems to enjoy it. She is a visibly more relaxed baby as a result, and I am a far happier mum. Thank you!

Physiotherapy in BS3

Bristol Physio

26A Oakfield Rd, Avon, Bristol BS8 2AT, UK – 0117 923 7506

My boyfriend saw Andy at Bristol physio and I also sat in on the consultation. We were visiting from Australia, Andy made us both feel welcome and comfortable. He was very thorough with his assessment of my partners knee and gave us both peace of mind when he could quickly diagnose the problem. As well as being a very knowledgeable and skilled physiotherapist, Andy was very friendly and gave us plenty of tips for things to do while we were in Bristol. Would definitely recommend Andy!!

First came to see Andy a few years ago and have seen him a few times since then for different reasons. Always takes the time to understand what’s really going on with you and your specific situation so you can get the most out of your rehab. A lot of physios I’ve worked with will have a little play around, give you three little exercises with a gym band and see you out the door. Andy makes sure you leave with a comprehensive programme that will get you back competing at 100% again. Top bloke, would recommend!

Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic & The Running School

Workout Harbourside, Welsh Back, Bristol BS1 4JA, UK – 0117 973 8319

Alex helped me with an Achilles’ tendon injury that hit less than four weeks before my marathon. I was really concerned I wasn’t going to be able to do the marathon after putting in most of the training. Alex treated me with expertise and gave sound advice, adopting my training plan and helping me stay positive. I managed to complete the marathon (my first) last weekend, and couldn’t be more chuffed. I don’t think I would have been able to get to the finish line without Alex’s help. I would definitely recommend him to anybody - money well spent!

Really impressed with level of expertise and knowledge coupled with an enthusiasm which is infectious and uplifting whether it be for sorting a problem or a remedial massage. Chris manages to keep one slightly tired body functioning. Totally recommend him.

Psychiatrists serving BS3

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust

3 Petherton Rd, Bristol BS14 9BP, UK – 01275 796200

I agree with a few comments on here about the receptionist for the adhd department. Her people skills need improving that's for sure. But I cannot faught the the adhd team in general. They been helpful and engaging. They're very short on resources but all considered they do a very good job.

When I first started using this service about a year ago the staff were beyond useless, had no compassion and the receptionists believed they knew better.. however since then it is massively improved, the receptionists and staff are now very efficient and friendly. Maybe due change of reception staff or retraining?

Harbourside Business Centre, 70 Prince St, Bristol BS1 4HU, UK – 07921 801447

My partner had been urging me to talk to someone for a while but I kept putting it off thinking it was a silly idea. Now I wish I had spoken to Seb sooner! He’s a top bloke, really approachable and really knows his stuff. I feel like a better version of myself. I have to admit I thought therapy would involve some sort of tree hugging nonsense but instead Seb explained the brain science behind what I was experiencing and explained a clear strategy for resolving it. This was nothing like what I was expecting and I’m more than happy with the result. I honestly can’t recommend Seb highly enough!

After having tried counselling before (which didn't really work), a friend recommended Seb and I decided to try the free initial consultation. We talked about coherence therapy and he said it was ideal for getting to the root of the problem. Through the sessions I quickly started to understand myself better and eventually discovered what it was that was really holding me back. I was worried it would take a long time (like the counselling I’d tried) but in just a few weeks I've noticed a massive improvement. It is really easy to talk to Seb and he has a lovely cosy office. All in all he provides a great service and I’d thoroughly recommend him to anyone in need of some help. I’m really pleased with my experience – thanks Seb!

I have been seeing Ivonne for a couple of months now and already she has helped me to feel better in myself! Ivonne has been treating me with reflexology and given lots of helpful tips and advice on my diet which has completely changed what I am eating for the better. As a result I am no longer getting migraines, its helped me to manage stress and the best gift is I am loosing weight and feeling great. Ivonne has such a caring, approach and has been a massive support along my health journey. I couldn't recommend her enough. Thank you :)

I first visited Ivonne a couple of years ago to help relieve stress. I had previously tried reflexology with massage therapists, but it never felt like more than a foot rub. The experience with Ivonne was completely different, and I've continued to see her every several months. She keeps my body in balance and working efficiently. I always leave her office feeling relaxed, but energized.

Massage for Stress

Through Sophie's skillful and competent approach to both massage and reflexology, I have experienced great relief from neck tension and pain. Her therapies have been effective for me, as a way of maintaining muscle balance and avoiding the return of tensions caused by daily stress. Sophie works hard to create a calming environment, giving careful attention to her clients comfort and needs. As part of her thorough consultation process, Sophie explains her therapies and prepares her clients well for what will take place.
